Hey There

Hello, I'm Jennifer Bennett, the heart and soul behind Jennifer Bee Embroidery. My passion for embroidery was ignited by my grandmother and mother when I was just a child. This love only grew stronger when I became a mother myself, turning into a lifelong devotion.

About Me

Embroidery has been a part of me since the late 1980s, starting with a smocking course at my local adult education centre. My initial goal was to dress my daughter in beautifully smocked dresses, but it quickly turned into something much more. As people admired my creations, I began selling my designs under the label Jennifer Bee, transforming my hobby into a flourishing business.

As my reputation grew, so did the demand for my expertise. I started teaching wool embroidery and ribbon work from my home studio. By 1993, I decided to open my own retail shop, Jennifer Bee Embroidery, to better serve the vibrant embroidery community.

My journey has always been about learning and growing. I've had the incredible opportunity to learn from esteemed experts like Jane Nicholas, Jenny Bradford, and Jenny Adin-Christie. Inspired by nature and my garden, my designs often feature a blend of ribbon, stumpwork, and surface embroidery.

In addition to my work at Jennifer Bee Embroidery, I'm thrilled to be an assistant tour leader for Needlework Tours and Cruises.  This specialist tour company has been organizing Needlework and Stately Homes Tours throughout the UK, Ireland, France, and Italy for years.

These small group tours offer a wonderful blend of staying in beautiful stately homes, exploring history, enjoying fine dining and gardens, and taking needlework classes from Royal School of Needlework-trained tutors.

Recently, Needlework Tours has expanded into needlework cruising, combining their expertise in needlework tours with the luxury and adventure of cruising. It's a fantastic opportunity to share my passion for needlework with others in such inspiring and beautiful settings.

From my cozy studio in an old schoolhouse built in the 1870s, I hold daily classes and work on new projects.

I love welcoming visitors to my studio, nestled in a peaceful garden setting.
